I can't show you the whole piece as it is stitched onto my roller frame but here it is and I'll keep you up to date as to how I am doing.

New panel
Hi folks, I need your help. I started the new free-form embroidered panel that I showed you yesterday. Today I finished the first section using detached chain stitch. I'd like some suggestions from you as to stitches I could use in the other sections. I'll be using different threads so that each section will have a different texture.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions you might make.

I think French Knots would give a lovely texture, or how about variuos types of eyelets?
It looks great, satin stitch always makes me want to touch it and stroke it (sad person here!) so thats gets my vote
I'm not sure on stitches as you're much more the expert than I am, but I would like to see you using some of those threads you bought from me before I moved!!=)
I like your little poem on the last post, only, sometimes, what's in our hearts may not be good for us!!!!LOL!!=)
All the best and I hope your final C&G work goes smoothly this year. Looking forward to seeing your final pieces and is there anywhere on-line you have an album? Which countries did you do for your study? I'll be doing mine mostly by distance learning when I get back to the UK, I think. Got lots of programmes in mind...
Don't know many stitches, as I don't do embroidery, but one stitch I love to see is bullion knots. One day I will have a go! LOL :0)
